22 days to go...

Well the shirts have been delivered and White Cube have done a fantastic job of them. The journey this week took its second largest re-route with the Ukraine rail network dropping their once a week service to Volgograd from Kiev. The service is dropped for the two weeks over Christmas and New Year. That provides a massive re-route (around 470 miles) because there is not enough time to get a £94 transit visa for Belarus processed in time. All other options get me to Russia before the visa starts, so they subsequently would not allow entry into the country! The visa for entry to Russia only starts on 30th December for 7 days, so it means that I will have to travel North through both Lithuania and Latvia. In order to make the necessary connections, it means that I have to spend six hours in Moscow. These things are sent to try us, and I dare say, that there will be a few more forced changes to the proposed route during the trip. All in a days planning ....
